This week in class we learned about competition and business structures. I really enjoyed learning about competition because we were able to use real life examples. I now know why Walgreens, CVS, and Rite Aid are always right next to each other and it is really interesting how the competition market works.
Yeah, I have to say I have always wondered why whenever I go to a Walgreens, I see a CVS and a Rite Aid RIGHT on the other corner. I think this is crazy! But remembering what we learned in class, with the friends and the ice cream carts on the beach, it makes more sense. You have to keep your friends close and your enemies closer! This philosophy is what creates the competition in those hostile intersections between the 3 stores. I agree that this week was interesting to learn the information that we did.
ReplyDeleteI agree that competition and business structures are and will be very important in our life and the CVS and Right Aid thing is very weird but after learning about competition and the different structures now I understand why this happens. Good blog.
